This was meant to be a gift for my boyfriend's birthday almost a year ago, his birthday rolled around and I had just started me. Now, months later, I'm just so sick of looking at it, it remains unfinished. I've spent at least 16 hours on this thing. I have the progress saved in increments, and it really looks better and better from each save, but at this point I don't really know how to proceed :P

Wow, It looks so real! I love how you did the hair, and the eyes. Its amazing how realistic it looks.

I agree with Ochiba. This is really amazing and I really want to see this finished!! I can't wait to see more of your work here. I have a feeling I saw this painting before... maybe it was another artist who did a similar portrait. Anyway, AMAZING STUFF!!

That;s really nice so far, great realism! You've a lovely smile :)

awww, you guys look so adorable together! <333 i think, you should at least finish off his neck? XD that way, it'd look more complete, and you can call them official NECKSHOTS, WOO HOO!

i don't even know if there is such a term D;

I'd say keep at it, this looks awesome! ::hopes you'll try oekaki realism here::

Definitely draw the rest of the head and shoulders/upper torso, as for what else to do... hmm... perhaps photoshop an enlarged version of this pic and make it a nearly transparent background? ProdigyBombay sometimes does that with her pics, and it works for anime style. Who knows, it might work for realism as well?

Whatever you choose to do, don't quit this... it's a wonderful piece!
